When fighting against substance abuse, some clients may find it more relaxing and/or helpful to see that they are not alone in their struggles. People are social by nature, and so group therapy has several advantages over individual therapy such as having positive support and insight from peers, feeling less isolated from the world, seeing the progress of others, developing a strong support structure, social skill training, and finally the hope and encouragement necessary to break free from substance abuse.
The program focuses on behavioral therapy that will help support clients to restructure their thinking patterns, learn new coping skills, participate in replacement activities, and form new social support networks to motivate healthier lifestyles.
Substance Use Group Treatment may be available to you at no charge. Please check this document or contact us to see if you qualify.
