Here at Sigma Counseling Services, we offer two levels of outpatient substance abuse treatment program: Level I: Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Level II: Supportive Outpatient Program (SOP). Both programs are designed to integrate individual counseling and group counseling in an effort to support and sustain a successful recovery from drugs, alcohol, or both. In the individual counseling sessions, clients will work with their counselor to create a recovery program specific to their individualized needs. While many addicts struggle with co-occurring mental health problems, legal problems, and family conflict due to substance abuse/dependency, our professional treatment team works with clients so they may improve their lifestyle and achieve a comfortable level of physical, emotional, psychological, and mental stability by maintaining sobriety. In the group counseling sessions, clients have the opportunity to share various experiences with group members in order to increase insight to see one’s own problems. During the IOP participation, clients are able to develop their own individualized treatment plan with their therapist’s assistance, which increases a probability to quit substance use behaviors and to develop a new positive life style through enhanced life management skills. Our treatment team is ready to assess the level of treatment a client needs and to place clients accordingly in an appropriate program that best suits their needs.
Level II: Supportive Outpatient Program (SOP)
Sigma Supportive Outpatient Program (SOP) is designed to support clients who are better suited for a more supportive rather than intensive approach to substance abuse/dependency problems. Sigma’s Supportive Outpatient Program focuses on clients to continue to maintain sobriety and to develop a continuing positive life style through improving life management skills and positive belief system to see own life. Clients who are recommended for SOP may include individuals who have transitioned from the intensive program or individuals who need an after-care program following residential treatment. These individuals generally have a basic understanding of addiction and the recovery process. These clients attend counseling twice per week to develop relapse prevention skills while increasing social support in the individual and group setting.
