Here at Sigma Counseling Services, we offer two levels of outpatient substance abuse treatment: Level I: Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Level II: Supportive Outpatient Program (SOP). Both programs are designed to integrate individual counseling and group counseling in an effort to support and sustain a successful recovery from drugs, alcohol, or both.
Level I: Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for substance abuse treatment provides a Texas-certified treatment designed to provide in-depth treatment for clients experiencing problems with alcohol/drugs and other substance dependence. The goals of the program are to provide information about the physical, emotional, social, and legal consequences of alcohol consumption and/or drug use and prevent recidivism. Alcoholism or drug addiction is a serious progressive illness that unless treated can lead to family, social, financial, legal, mental, physical health, occupational, and spiritual problems. The treatment components focus on a recovery program concerned not just with abstinence, but abstinence as a fulfilling, productive way of life. Each client will have an individual treatment plan based on a face-to-face interview, screening results, and intake information. Individualized treatment plans with each client will identify and address specific individual needs related to substance abuse/ dependence problems. Clients attend primary group treatment and education sessions. Individual and family counseling sessions are provided as needed. The treatment program goal is to educate and motivate each client to understand his/her substance use patterns and their significance for self and others and to design an appropriate and comprehensive relapse prevention plan.
Sigma IOP affiliates with Texas State (HHSC), local courts and probation departments (i.e., Dallas, Collin, & Tarrant County CSCD), the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), and others. Our program complies with those program requirements and actively supports our clients in completing their IOP.
